Parking is a headache in central Ballard, to say the least. And it’s only getting worse. Construction crews have built a fence around the boarded-up QFC on 24th Ave., blocking one of Ballard’s most popular free parking lots. Drat!

Demolition is scheduled to begin any day now. An eight-story apartment building called “Ballard on the Park” is coming in late 2009.
