Developer ‘open’ to new bowling alley

March 12th, 2008 · 6 Comments

The developer that purchased the land under Sunset Bowl says says they’re “open” to considering adding a bowling alley in the new development, which is slated to begin construction next year. “We’re not bowling operators, per se,” said Brian Fritz, VP of development for AvalonBay Communities. “But we are open to learning about what it will take.” He added, “I don’t want anyone to think that we are guaranteeing anything.” Fritz also said they’re considering whether to allow Sunset Bowl to stay open until summer 2009, when they’re scheduled to break ground on a luxury apartment development. Otherwise, Sunset Bowl had planned to close its doors next month. Stay tuned…

You should really start citing your sources. I know this is a blog, but it pays to be responsible. Clearly, this was taken verbatim from the Ballard News-Tribune.

wow - an anonymous person requesting responsibility and citing sources. Magnificent.

That’s why we linked the story, prominently, in the first line. If we hadn’t linked, then we would be lacking attribution.

That said, in nearly all Ballard News-Tribune stories we link, we also mention the paper, because we like to reinforce the fact that it’s a tremendous Ballard resource.

But if you happen to work at the News-Tribune and you find this uncomfortable, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Clearly an overly picky poster. This is essentially a gossip blog (no offense). You don’t need to cite your sources. Your sources can be as suspicious as you want them to be. That being said, I always appreciate the helpful links in a post.

” taken verbatim from the Ballard News-Tribune.”

That’s a ‘news source’? I thought it was a liner for my parrot’s cage.

Methinks “Yes” means maybe; “Maybe” means no.
