Aerospace company leaving Ballard

University Swaging, looking to expand its aerospace manufacturing facility, has decided to move out of Ballard to Snohomish County. “We looked a lot in Ballard, it’s always been a great area for us,” said Conrad Scheffler, GM of the company, a division of Primus International. “But at the end of the day, trying to find 100,000 square feet in Seattle, heavy industry-friendly on a single floor, it’s not going to happen in the Ballard area today.”
