The big window with a grill, oven, and 2 dudes cooking food are evidence that there is a kitchen… C'mon Fargo!

Hey Bum… What is your ideal selection? I actually think they have a pretty good selection.

I'm not sure what people are talking about rude staff. They have been nice to me each time I've been in. Yes it gets busy on a Fri/Sat but expect it and just go to the bar to get a drink. Ballard is the new hot spot and it is just plain busy anywhere you go. I've been happy everytime I get food here…from the Greek salad to the black and blue sliders, it's all been delicious.

I've been to the Loft at night and have had a good time. A friend and I decided to stop by for an early afternoon drink on Memorial Day. The service was horrible. It took forever to even get a menu. I dont know why we decided to stick around, but the food was decent. Better service would have made for a much more enjoyable experience. I hope the people at the Ballard Loft are reading these comments!

I think this place is awesome. I now have a renewed love for hot dogs! Plus the patio is a fantastic place to get some sun on my pasty-white Seattle skin and drink sangria. Bueno!

“M” is a 100% LIAR . Maybe if “M” wasn't so prejudice about people, “M” would learn more about people and have more friends. I happen to know these guys and a women (a wife of one), and they never even went to a college let alone were involved with a fraternity. They have only worked in the Bar industry for a number of years and are in business because thats what they do, for a living. Maybe if you were a more open minded individual they would be your friend too. Then again they may not be your type, seeing as they make a lot of friends, from all different backgrounds, and you don't have to pass a test based on initial looks and un educated assumptions to be their friend. Nice attempt at a helpful review you provided though. The Loft happens to have a great mix of people of all ages whenever I go in. That probably expains your distaste for the Loft. Also, give me a break, their food is way above average. Quit being a Hater “M”.

The smokers need to be dealt with.

I like the place, a great atmosphere, close to the house, good specials. The problem is that the best part of the place is the outdoor seating, and it's always overwhelmed by clouds of smoke from the jackasses smoking right over the rail close to the patio so they can still see the TVs.

It's obnoxious and until the place cracks down on it I'm not going back.

I ate here once and found the food and service slightly below average, so I haven't been back. I think a review upon just one visit wouldn't be fair – BUT

… I still have to go past on my way home and I just can't stand the vibe of this place now. I know their clientele like the music on the loud side but WOW.I WHY does this business have to blare it so it infects the other unique and historic atmosphere of this special block?? It's not very neighborly. Sorry Loft.
