  1. I'm not sure what people are talking about rude staff. They have been nice to me each time I've been in. Yes it gets busy on a Fri/Sat but expect it and just go to the bar to get a drink. Ballard is the new hot spot and it is just plain busy anywhere you go. I've been happy everytime I get food here…from the Greek salad to the black and blue sliders, it's all been delicious.

  2. I've been to the Loft at night and have had a good time. A friend and I decided to stop by for an early afternoon drink on Memorial Day. The service was horrible. It took forever to even get a menu. I dont know why we decided to stick around, but the food was decent. Better service would have made for a much more enjoyable experience. I hope the people at the Ballard Loft are reading these comments!

  3. terrible. the owners are frat boys that are in for the beer and chicks..thats cool…if you are and they are not. the service is overwhelmed and slow and the food is average at best.

  4. I think this place is awesome. I now have a renewed love for hot dogs! Plus the patio is a fantastic place to get some sun on my pasty-white Seattle skin and drink sangria. Bueno!

  5. “M” is a 100% LIAR . Maybe if “M” wasn't so prejudice about people, “M” would learn more about people and have more friends. I happen to know these guys and a women (a wife of one), and they never even went to a college let alone were involved with a fraternity. They have only worked in the Bar industry for a number of years and are in business because thats what they do, for a living. Maybe if you were a more open minded individual they would be your friend too. Then again they may not be your type, seeing as they make a lot of friends, from all different backgrounds, and you don't have to pass a test based on initial looks and un educated assumptions to be their friend. Nice attempt at a helpful review you provided though. The Loft happens to have a great mix of people of all ages whenever I go in. That probably expains your distaste for the Loft. Also, give me a break, their food is way above average. Quit being a Hater “M”.

  6. The smokers need to be dealt with.

I like the place, a great atmosphere, close to the house, good specials. The problem is that the best part of the place is the outdoor seating, and it's always overwhelmed by clouds of smoke from the jackasses smoking right over the rail close to the patio so they can still see the TVs.

It's obnoxious and until the place cracks down on it I'm not going back.

  8. I ate here once and found the food and service slightly below average, so I haven't been back. I think a review upon just one visit wouldn't be fair – BUT

… I still have to go past on my way home and I just can't stand the vibe of this place now. I know their clientele like the music on the loud side but WOW.I WHY does this business have to blare it so it infects the other unique and historic atmosphere of this special block?? It's not very neighborly. Sorry Loft.

  9. The staff is great at the Loft. The food is another story. Twice in a row our food was crappy – soup not hot, greens bitter, +- on the sliders, al of it less that so-so. We won’t eat there again.

  10. The staff is great but the food not so great. Our last two meals were less than so-so. Soup not hot, greens bitter and bacon over cooked, sliders +/-. We won't be eating there again.

  11. the loft is great… i have heard people say other wise but you cant please everyone… the biggest problem people say is that it gets too crowded on fr/sat night. but just deal with it people! ballard is a hot spot now. loft staff is always friendly but it helps if you try and get to know them! also i love the big Bud Lights and porky pigs! and the owners always due their best to take care of me!

  12. The employees could give a damn wether you have money in your
pocket or not. Too many tatoos, piercings, attitudes to attempt to
give good service. Food is OK, patio is cool, but always crowded.
I usually pass on work related events held here, because the service
is just that bad. There are a lot of bars within a block or two, so keep
    looking.

  13. Decided to retry this place after swearing it off for a year or so. Our NINE DOLLAR hot dogs were luke warm at best, too were buns and the cheese didn’t get enough time under the heat to melt. Overpriced, VERY marginal food, service isn’t friendly and the cocktails spendy. Leave this joint off your list – save your money!

  14. I would NEVER go in there again. The waitress we horrible and it seems to be a place for their friends to hang out than actual customers spending over $100 for dinner on a Sunday night. We were upstairs and 4 other young friends of the waitstaff were up there and the language and screaming was completly inappropriate for the establishment. When we asked if she would have them quite down abit we were told “it’s a sports bar” . Nice. I called and spoke to the DAN the manager and he said about the same thing ….. so if you want to eat dinner and drink $9 lousy terrible actually margaritas this would be the place for you but as for us NO THANKS!!!!!!
