while not my first choice for dinner, the bar has one of the best HH menus in Ballard. the oolong-tini is a MUST.
  • Great cocktails (oolongtini, and a great mojito made with yohimbe). Besides the usual phad thai stuff, most menu items were things I hadn't seen before. And only one curry!

    Their soups are fantastic.
  • I love Thaiku. The food is light, flavorful, and not greasy! Staff are very good and the atmosphere and decor is great.

Right on! Thaiku beats any Thai in Fremont plus it's a nice walk for a late lunch. The jazz on Thursday is cool too. It's in our top 3 rotation of Ballard eateries.

Three of my close friends and I eat Thai food at least once a week. We dined at Thai Ku last night for the first time and we were blown away. We ordered three appetizers and each a different main course. We were blown away with the delicacy of flavors, the variety of choices, the richness of spice and the low prices. And the atmosphere is exciting and beautiful (how often do you see a rickshaw hanging from the ceiling?) Following dinner the three of us had a serious discussion about whether this was the best Thai food we've had in Seattle. We decided it might certainly be.

I think this is the best Thai Restaurant in Seattle. The Kao Soy is one of the greatest things I have ever eaten and everything I have ever eaten there has been prepared perfectly
