Really not impressed. The reviews were mixed so decided to see for ourselves and we were SO disappointed. I read a review that described it as "tasteless" and that is right on the money, money which will be wasted here. The WORST hash browns I ever tasted -- like boxed mashed potatoes fried in cheap fake butter, just mush -- and that is saying a lot in a city that has little to offer in the way of decent hash browns. Don't go.

    Vera's
I eat here one a week, best cobb salad in town, staff is super, I love the place.

Marginal stuff people. Nice gal served my hung-over ass last Saturday (wife & baby are out of town again) but my chicken fried steak was bland....along with the eggs and hashbrwns. May try it again...I am looking for Alice, Mel or Flo. Anybody seen them? Was Tommy Alice's kid?

Veras is old school good and people should always carry cash.

I wont be shocked if it happens;, their quality is been dropping for sometime.

    Two words: Over priced.
We ate at brunch at Volterra for the same price!

Typical of a diner. The cash only policy is quite inconvenient!

I love good ol' diners and Vera's is just that. No surprises. You know exactly what kind of food is on the menu and its done just right. Try the Eggs Benedict - you'll be surprised at how good their's is!

when we are headed out of town and we need a breakfast that will last for the first 5 miles of trail without reaching for a granola bar or stopping to dig through the backpack for something to snack on, Veras is the answer.

I have a soft place in my heart for Veras. It's a diner. It's good.

But if it's too crowded or whatever, walk a couple blocks down to the Salmon Bay Cafe.

I like the Ballard Scramble too.

Get the Ballard Scramble. Best thing on the menu!
