Ballard company plays role in CSI:NY

If you watched CSI:NY on CBS last night, you saw investigators piecing together dozens of photos from a party using a real Microsoft technology called Photosynth. The software automatically stitches together photos of the same location to create a three-dimensional map.

The technology is in part designed by Ballard’s own Seadragon software, which was acquired by Microsoft back in 2005, reports the Seattle Times.
