Demolition crews have leveled the empty businesses in a lot just east of the McDonald’s restaurant on Market St.

This clears the way for a new development called “Broadstone Ballard,” an apartment complex with two six-story buildings with 155 units, eight live-work units, some retail space and underground parking.
