  always wonder why the parking lot is empty- tried it a few times, nothing special- dining room usually a mess, not so clean looking staff usually...but pretty decent food... I remember asking for everything- Napkins, Ketchup, Salt, Pepper, a lid for my drink, a straw, etc...

  I used to go a long time ago, and it was pretty good. That was back when the '57 Chev was still on the roof. Since that (another Ballard landmark) disappeared, things have gone downhill. The last time I went there (over a year ago) we all felt ill later.

  Didn't Zesto's recently make news by getting the most health department citations in the city?

  It's changed ownership a few times over the last 10 years or so.
  
  BTW - I remember when the previous owner was trying to sell the '57 Chevy, before selling the business...I think he was asking about 20 grand for it!

  This isn't as bad as the ratings suggest. I think people are (justifiably) scared by the health violations. I've never had a problem with the food. In fact, their fish burger is really good. Tasty fries, too.

  THE WORST BURGER EVER! More like a hockey puck dusted with ashes. HOwever my toddler did love the non-stop Elvis video on the t.v.

  the fish and chips are always good. It is one of the few places that we have always had a good time in the 20 or so years that we have lived in the neighborhood, from the time our oldest was a toddler and Zestos was a treat at the end of the swim lesson season to just last week.
  I do wish they would put more effort into deep down cleaning the place
