Paseo popular from day one

Posted by Geeky Swedes on August 12th, 2008

We stopped by Paseo on its first day today to grab some Caribbean grub.

And look, there’s already a small line outside the sandwich shop. We had the #1 (pork sandwich) and the #3 (chicken breast sandwich) and they were very tasty. Just remember to bring cash, because Paseo doesn’t take plastic.

Yesterday: Paseo to open in Ballard on Tuesday

Does anyone know how late they're open?
  • Jon
That implies that you're not doing everything in your power to get there now! (..and no. : )

The #1 is every bit as tasty as its fremont papa.

they are open until 8pm. No phone to pre order yet, hopefully soon. ALWAYS SO GOOD and now closer to my crib!

    Hurray!!!

Had to stop by for some dinner Cuban Roast. No line and as delicious as the Fremont version. Very happy they're in the neighbourhood!

Looks like I know where to go for lunch tomorrow. Sounds pretty good.

Still can't get over the closure of Gordo's though. Couple weeks ago I had the craving for a Pizza Burger, which I hadn't had for almost forever, and drove down all the way from Lynnwood only to find they closed-up shop. :-(

Anyway, anyone know what goes on a Pizza Burger?
  • I stopped by on Tuesday at around 11am and even got to chat with a couple of myballard readers! Always fun to meet folks from here. ;-)

    Anyone have a menu?

I planned my whole evening around getting there to get a sandwich before 8 pm, and arrived at 7:40 to a closed sign. I was told "we ran out of a whole lot of stuff, but we have half a chicken" or something to that effect. Bummer, I hope you stock up and don't send any more customers away hungry, because I ended up eating at Snoose Junction, and all the bad reviews are true. Way over-rated. I hope Paseo can make me a believer.

Jason, don't count on it! Paseo is known for running out of stuff. It's irritating as hell, but I guess being over-cautious and not over-buying is one of the ways you stay successful! That, though, and the whole case only thing do make it a bit of a pain in the ass. When in the mood for it, hit the ATM, show up early, and be patient for the wait!

Loved the sandwiches - next time I have to remember to bring moist towelettes that they give out at barbeque joints with me. The sandwiches are huge and messy to eat. Napkins are not enough.
