Google’s street view comes to Ballard

Google has launched its street view technology in Seattle, and you can drive the streets of Ballard. And as My Ballard reader Daniel points out, some of the photos appear to have been taken this summer.

Well, holy crap, I can see my house from there! ;-) Apparently I was not home when they drove down my street as my car is not in the driveway. Maybe Google knows where I was that day and I can search in that, heh heh, hmmm, Big Googler is watching us!

Looks like they must've updated the arterials in the summer. I live right off 8th and I can see my car parked in two different spots depending on the view. Also shows campaign signs when viewing from 8th, but not directly in front.

Ive seen the Google car..has like 8 cameras on top in a circle, and they just drive around recording, then splice it together later

I was standing in the window of Arne's Auto Service on 20th and Leary in June when the white Ford Escape plastered with dome cameras and Google stickers drove by. Too bad they blurred my face... They didn't drive by my house on NW97th.

the billing on the majestic bay theatre says "disney pixar wall-e friday", so that particular shot was likely taken in the last week of june this year.

Definitely captured last fall around this time. My beautiful ginko tree is the same color of yellow right now as in the picture but the street has undergone some pretty major changes since these images were taken. Makes me kind of nostalgic...

our house near 65th and 32nd was filmed in july this summer for sure. we had a project going on outside our house and i can tell exactly where it was in the process.
