cat. How inconsiderate the person who made cruelty to this kitty is! He should
be punished to what he had done to this creature. It is not an excuse to the

shooting an animal even if it is on your property is prosecutable as animal cruelty and can carry a sentence of 2yrs in prison and a hefty fine in most states.

You think it is harmless? Tell that to the people who's animals have missing eyes or have died b/c of internal bleeding and organ failure from being shot by harmless pellet guns.

Ask any psychiatrist about the steps to becoming a psychotic with homicidal tendencies. One of the steps is violence to animals. Are you mentally stable?

You let your kids play in dirt? Have you never heard of the parasitic infestations children get that eat holes in their brains and can cause death? They got it from playing in dirt, cat poop or not. You're unfit parents and retarded human beings for not knowing. BTW get a fence, you don't live on a farm.

Next time your kids ride their tricycle over my lawn you better get them xrayed. They may have some pellets in their skull shot point blank through their eye socket for being on my property.

The ppl who leave their cats roaming outside need to be more intelligent also. Get a collar, get a chip, get a wireless perimeter installed. If you really cared about your pets you wouldn't play russian roulette with their lives by letting them roam free.

the world is not your cats' litterbox. but as long as you think so…don't expect EVERYBODY else to agree. Why should I tolerate your pet…when it only comes into my yard to shit and kill birds!? I don't shit in my yard…and when I shit in YOURS I won't be surprised if I get a pellet or two…or three.

I was nice to my neighbors cat for years and it slid into my garage the 5 or sominutes I stepped out(I work there/home biz)and when I returned, it ran past me; from my garage. I smelled cat piss…did some looking and found that cat had peed on an antique dresser that I had just moved out to store in the garage a week earlier.

the ONLY reason the pet control laws are not enforced against cats is because there are just too damn many of them. Everytime it rains here, the first thing you smell in the air is the evaporating cat piss.

If you cannot have a pet that you(who have obviously chosen to NOT take complete responsibility for)can keep at home…then you have nobody to blame but yourself…regardless of what happens.

Let me just say that my garage and or yard is not a happy place for a cat to be found. You don't like it?…keep your unwanted(if we wanted a cat we w0uld have one) litte demon at home. many of us consider them an unwanted and invasive species…like weeds but with fur.

I am not a vet, but was an Army medic and EMT for many years. If the wound has healed over the pellet, then to the vet it must go for immediate removal! Pellets are made of lead, and as such, leech lead into the bloodstream. This can lead to catastrophic organ failure over time, mainly affecting kidneys in cats. Otherwise, just clean up the wound area as best you can using hydrogen peroxide (it will sting, so you will have to find a way to immobilize the cat — a friend all gloved up with heavy clothing usually works best. And don't forget to talk to your cat to help calm and sooth it! They DEPEND on you.) After this, apply Triple Antibiotic Ointment (Wal-mart, Walgreen’s, etc.) to the affected area three times a day for three days. Next, you just monitor the cat and let the wound heal. They have amazing recuperative powers. And for God’s sake NEVER give your cat aspirin!!!

i was wondering if you knew the best way to take care of a cat that was shot with a pellet gun just behind the shoulder blade. I would love to simply take him to the vet. Only I am barely making it as it is and all research shows a vet bill of at least 200.00 or more. He is not in any pain and moves around and plays as usual. He has always been temperamental and that has not changed either. If you can help please do. Any advise will be taken.
