Winter Beer Fest at Hale’s Ales

Posted by Geeky Swedes on December 4th, 2008

It’s getting c-c-cold outside, a perfect time to break out some of those tasty winter brews. This Friday and Saturday, you can sample big, bold winter warmers from over 30 Washington breweries (list) at the 2008 Winter Beer Festival at Hale’s Ales. The Washington Beer Commission event goes from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $23 advance and $25 at the door — you get six beer tastes (5 ounces each) and can buy additional tokens on the spot. And be careful, because winter beers pack a punch!

Agreed... the one a few weeks ago at the Phinney Neighborhood Association was not only cheaper, but you also got a lot more tickets. Which you didn't even need bc the beer vendors could have cared less. I'm sure the same thing will happen at Hale's, but I don't want to pay just to find out.

i went last year and it was a total waste. better to drink elsewhere for cheaper.

Seriously, what a racket! I can go to Bottlewerks and put together my own 6-pack of winter beers for less than that.

Where is the Spirit of giving when times are bad Hales.
I agree this should be free.

Last year it was free? And it snowed that day.

yeah, $23 for less than 2 pints of beer? what's the draw?

Bah. I hate paying for beer tastings. I'll be at Brouwer's tonight, thank you, drinking full glasses of beer.
