While just about everyone was inside their homes trying to stay warm last night, a burglar broke into Cafe Besalu on 24th Ave.

The owner tells us that someone pried open the front door sometime before 5 a.m. He says that police told him that thefts are happening around the area — you may remember a similar break-in at TigerTail back in September — but have no leads on this case. Cafe Besalu’s owner says that as the economy gets worse, shop owners should be wary. (Thanks for the tip, boardbrown!)
