I love the bartender here "Adolf"... he's awesome!

The food is great as is the atmosphere. The Lockspot is my favorite hang out in Ballard.
  • Lockspot is a great place for comfortable atmosphere and comfortable food. And the manager, Pam, is the glue for the place. Get her recovered and back behind the bar -- she's been missed this Fall.

Great daily specials, friendly and efficient service and pleasant atmosphere. It's a great place to relax for a drink or bring the family.

I used to love Lockspot, but the last several times I have been in there the food has sucked. If I didn't know better I would say it was the frozen stuff from Costco. It is a shame, but I don't see myself rushing back there anytime soon.

Wow the food was terrible. The fish tasted like rubber, the french fries tasted like cardboard. The service was terrible too. The waitress spent more time talking with her friends than helping anyone. Won't go back.

I love the breakfasts, but the waitstaff, specifically the woman on Sat/Sun mornings, is horrible! As a former waitress with my bias to give waitstaff the benefit of the doubt, she is just awful!!!!! Every time we have been in, she apologizes that she is having an off day...Every day seems to be an off day for her. Hire someone new Lockspot and you will have more customers. We don't go there anymore because of her. The man with white hair, who I believe is the bartender, who often waits tables by the door, is great! Hire more people like him.

Sometimes it's easier to get served than others. Sometimes you have to stand on the bar to get some attention. But if you aren't in a hurry you'll end up having a really good time. And the chowder is amazing.

I love the Spot! It's right by the locks and the Staff treats you how you treat them. That is how it works usually. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to be comfortable, low key and looking for good food and laughs. Also, hot bartenders!

We come all the way from England to eat at the Lockspot Cafe, and also to visit our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter who live nearby,( the best fish and chips anywhere). Visiting at the end of June.

We went this week and the food and service were great! We found the drinks a little pricey, but that's the way it is.

Not really proper Fish & Chips. Very similar to Ballard Brothers, frozen fries and fish fillet.
