The newest addition to Ristorante Picolinos on 32nd Ave. near 65th is Espresso Picolinos, a new cafe that’s scheduled to open within the next week or so.

The cafe will serve pastries from a brand new bakery in the building. And soon after opening, the cafe will serve wine in the evening.

The cafe is located just north of the restaurant in the same building. Owner Tom Bailiff says there are two more additions in the coming months: a deli (on the corner) and an outdoor pizza oven. It’s all part of what owner Bailiff calls a “little piece of Italy.” By the way, Bailiff said he wasn’t satisfied with the food’s authenticity when Ristorante Picolinos opened, so a few weeks ago he brought in a new Italian chef as well as a pizza-maker from Via Tribunali.
