Source Salon on Leary Ave. is one of Ballard’s newest businesses, but it’s not receiving a very warm welcome to the neighborhood. Burglars have hit the shop three times in the last month and a half alone.

The latest break-in happened this weekend, one week after the salon’s last burglary. The crooks broke another window to get inside.

Meanwhile, over at Sip and Ship on Market St., someone smashed a window on the front door late Friday or early Saturday, but was scared away. “The police were called by a concerned citizen, not by our alarm system, as the alarm was not triggered,” writes owner Stephen Naramore in the forum, who wants to thank whoever called 911.
