The reality is the driver could be from wherever, they might live in Kent or Redmond or something or even commute from Tacoma.

That having been said it isn't like the *driver* actually types in the words that pop up on the display. They just set the route and direction, a technician or mechanic updated the database with the wrong spelling.

Also, kim – just out of curiosity, what kinds of hiring quotas are you referring to?

I used to think that several coworkers would type “Freemont” instead of “Fremont”, because they were originally from California and didn't know how WE spelled it. I just chalked it up to my being a native, and those poor outta-state newbies just didn't know any better.

But then, I realized that California spells it the same way that we do.
