Yikes, that's pretty bad. You'd think they'd want to avoid wrecking such a great PR move with such a lousy effect on the neighborhood. Have you complained to them?

Unfortunately, their spent grain has often been stored for days and weeks in open bins on the sidewalk of Albion Pl. Along with blocking the sidewalk, the spilled grain makes great rat food. The liquid runoff is allowed to enter the storm drain that empties into Lake Union. Not very good neighbors

Brewers have been reusing spent grain for years. When I worked at Pyramid 10+ years ago all of our spent grain wound up as hog feed.

They're only open during the hours listed on their "Events" calendar. They get completely slammed with bicyclist traffic in the evenings these days.

Unfortunately their lease is up in September.

4 cups spent grains (wet), 4 cups flour, 1 cup peanut butter, and an egg or two. Mix up, spread on a cookie sheet, score with a knife, bake for 20 minutes at 425 or so, then dry them out in the oven all night at about 250. Good for humans and dogs.

Nice. I especially like their idea of making use of spent grain. I homebrew, and I always end up dumping lots of spent grain, even though I make dog biscuits out of a lot of it.

Looks like their tasting room is right off the Burke-Gilman. Between them and Gilligan's, I'm feeling a bike pub crawl coming on.
