The first-ever Mobile Chowdown drew hundreds of people to Interbay.

BG sent us this photo from the line at the Minimus Maximus food wagon. Queen Anne View was there and has complete coverage of the event.

Went to the Mobile Chowdown looking forward to The Skilllet Burger. Reminded me of Yogi Berra's line, “Nobody goes there; it's too crowded.” Because we were really hungry and didn't want a long wait we drove up Nickerson to Stell's. I need to do something about my Jones for The Burger, though. I suspect this was successful beyond anyone's expectations.

Same for me. I was eager to try out Marination Nation. But the line looked like it would easily be over a 30 minute wait – same as all the lines. So I turned and left with the plan to try them out at one of their regular locations.
This was a great idea and I hope they do it again. But by nature it's tough to feed so many people out of a window. Hopefully next time they'll figure out a way to ease the flow.

Great to see one of our mayoral candidates there- Mike McGinn was talking about changing regulations to encourage more street food, like in Portland! Good small businesses, good food at affordable prices. Sounds reasonable to me.
