It is sad that we have traded one of the few locally sourced healthy food places for yet ANOTHER gin joint!

I'd be optimistic if Bootleggers offered something other than the promise of booze…like live music, or great food, or a nice view.

Sorry to point out the obvious; but the location, description of the liquor application, and size; we’re surely destine to get drunk in a little shack on the backside of a condominium.

Is Ballard out of people who need a reason to go someplace?

Oh, let me guess, it will be expensive too…

Who thought this was a good idea?

Really? Is this what defines Ballard?

Last time I was in this space I think there were about 3 barstools at a counter and 2 outside tables. That's seating for about 7 on a dry day. How are they planning to have a restaurant/lounge when there's no space for people to eat or drink?

On the bright side, maybe the bootleggers won't use Papyrus on their sign? I have been hoping for the Papyrus quotient to go down for a while.

I hope they do well. It will be interesting how long they will occupy the space. Especially since the lease details previously posted on the window stated a 1 year term. Hope that they will stick around longer.

You'd be, (or you will be?) shocked at how little it takes to trip the breathalyzer to DUI, especially with cocktails.
Anyhoo, not everyone going to a bar on the other side of town is the driver. We do have friends, cabs, buses, in this town.

This news reminds me how much I miss GreenGo and their good, real, clean, honest food prepared with a lot of heart. I still feel, selfishly, like Dylan, Heidi, & Cypress could've really established a solid clientele here in Ballard if they'd just stuck it out! They were well on their way. Anyway, I hope they're following their hearts and dreams right now, as I type. Anyone heard from them?
It IS a good space for a bar, though. Lots of small watering holes (Hazelwood, Ocho) do excellently in tiny storefronts. Liquor is a good bang for your square-foot-buck. Who is starting this bootleg bar?
