Ballard man to summit Mt. Rainier for good cause

Mike Erstad, the owner of National Cleaners on Holman Road, is taking on a 14,410 foot challenge. This coming July he plans to summit Mt. Rainier, but it’s not just for his enjoyment. Erstad is part of a 50-person group that is taking part in the 23rd anniversary of the Climb for Clean Air. His goal is to raise more than $3,500 for the American Lung Association. “My legs and lungs will work hard this summer, but if we can make it easier for someone to breathe, it will be well worth the effort,” Erstad writes. You can help his efforts by going to his fundraising page.
