I finally got to try the falafel and for sure liked it. Good flavor. Went on the night of the super bowl, so had the place to ourselves, so the service was fast as hell.

I have been to Bastille four times. Food was always very good, waiters are just fine, but the hostesses are honestly rude and vacant at the same time. One should not feel like you are putting someone out by wanting to eat at their restaurant.

Was there w/ my son for a drink recently. Very nice service – and a well mixed drink. Can't comment on the food though – didn't have any.

I hate to jump on the bash-Bastille bandwagon, but thought I'd share. It's a pretty place for sure, but the service was indifferent to the point of rudeness. I thought it might've been because we went early in its existence, but it seems other folks have had similar negative experiences at Bastille.

I agree with the rest of the list, but Bastille?! Something's fishy. Maybe they advertise in Seattle Magazine ( in which case the list should include a disclaimer).

It's simply not that good and definitely not one of the best new restaurants in the city. Pretty yes, and most likely was expensive to outfit… but the food and service can only be described as average.

I stopped going there after 3 horrible nights at the bar. I like the food and drink but I'm with you on the service. What part of “my drink is nearly empty-sell me another one” or “my credit card is on the bar because I want the check” is difficult to understand. Etc.

I keep hoping for staff turn-over….

Good news for Ballard! BUT I have to disagree with Bastille being a winner. I have had the WORST experiences there. I think the staff are some of the rudest people I have every come in contact with.
