Little Caesars Pizza opening in Crown Hill

There’s soon to be another pizza option in the area. Local owners Gunnar and Elizabeth Lorenzen are opening a Little Caesars Pizza franchise. The new restaurant will open on February 23rd at 9776 Holman Rd NW (map). “Customers continue to have higher standards for quality and service, and we’re ready to exceed them,” said franchise owner Gunnar Lorenzen. “Providing customers with quality products, great value and convenience are our top priorities.”

This is the first Little Caesars that the couple has owned and they look forward to supporting local schools, churches and other organizations such as “Girls on the Run.”

  1. Yeah that's where we'd go in college for $5 large pizza and $2 crazy bread. Before that, it was in our Kmart and if I didn't whine my mom would let me get a slice. I don't remember it being particularly good but maybe it's improved.

  2. There use to be a Little Caesars at 85th and 11th NW, where Old Mill Bread is now. That was going on fifteen-twenty years ago. I don't remember anything particularly good or bad about it, can't say I've eaten one of their pizzas since that location closed. Anyway welcome to the neighborhood and good luck.

How about a grand opening special for MyBallard readers?

  3. I went to the one up in Shoreline a few weeks ago with my girlfriend. Pizza is meh. The crazy bread was not as good as I remembered when I was a child.

Now if they would only bring back Pietro's Pizza. That was my favorite as a child. They still have some around Portland.

  4. Make fun of it all you want, but 5 dollar hot n ready pizzas are awesome.

The pizza is hardly top quality, but it is very enjoyable in my opinion.

  5. I saw the sign there and was thrilled! No more driving to Shoreline! Yes, they still have the $5 ready-to-gos and the crazy bread and it's delicious. I always loved how the bottom of the crust gets all buttery and crispy and it's just the right amount of cheese. They may be cheap, but their taste is good and it's reliable.

  6. OMG this is the BEST NEWS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When money is tight and the Top Ramen for the 5th day in a row has made you want to eat a bullet instead, $5 cheese pizzas and $2 breadsticks is EXACTLY what I need.

  7. I make my own pizzas all the time for a fraction of five dollars.

they're really good and much healthier, too.

you should all try this sometime.

i actually make pizzas about once a week, i love making them and trying to perfect the crust, and it's a fun sunday afternoon project for me and my daughters. i'd like to hear your breakdown on costs though (seriously…not trying to be sarcastic). i use a sourdough crust, so that's pretty much free materials wise, let's call it $0.50; the sauce is similarly cheap, i use organic tomato paste so we'll say $1.00; half a ball of mozerella rounds out to $2.00, so i'm at $3.50 before i've even hit the toppings. i usually throw on some deli ham and pineapple + mushrooms, or chicken sausage and olives/onions…either way it adds another few bucks. again, don't get me wrong, I gladly pay a little more for a home-made pizza with quality ingredients, i just have this little joke with my wife where i become devil's advocate and say that I could save myself a couple hours and a few dollars by ordering a crappy pizza from pizza time, i'd never actually do it. I think it's said that junk food has become so cheap that you can buy a meal for less than the cost of making it from scratch. I think sometimes people delude themselves into not believing it. But maybe you have some damn secret that I should be trying?

  9. Ack. The greater Ballard area already has 500 pizza places! And now this is going in right near a Papa John's… why do we need yet another chain pizza place!?
