Youth Appreciation Week kicks off with swim night

The city of Seattle is honoring kids from March 26th to April 2nd with free or low cost events during Youth Appreciation Week. There are several events in Ballard for kids ages 11 to 18:

  • The first event is “Friday Night Teen Swim” tomorrow (Friday 3/26) at the Ballard Pool (1471 NW 67th St) from 7 to 8 p.m. Kids swim for $2 and receive a free slide bracelet when they show their middle or high school photo ID.
  • The second event is public swim at the Ballard Pool from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30th. “Relax at the pool during your break! Use the basketball hoop, diving board, rope swing, and hot tub. The swim is $2.75 and for another buck kids can use the slide.
  • Following the public swim on March 30th will be an ice cream social from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Loyal Heights Community Center 2101 NW 77th St.
