The Bit Saloon reopens as The 2 Bit Saloon

The old Bit Saloon has undergone a makeover and is now open as The 2 Bit Saloon (4818 17th Ave NW.)

Earlier this year, Jessica Young and Jamie Bernard took over ownership of the Ballard institution and gave it a facelift. It’s the same bar, just updated a bit, “a little more cozy” Young told us back in January. The 2 Bit Saloon celebrated its grand opening last weekend. They have live music lined up for weekend entertainment and DJ Bobcat spins on Wednesdays. You can stay up-to-date on the happenings at The 2 Bit Saloon on their Facebook page. (Thanks Robby and Jason for the tip!)

  1. Nice! Anybody know what they’ve got on tap? I don’t see a list on their Facebook page, surprisingly, though there’s a discussion thread about it from March.

  2. glad to see it re-opening. a true hidden gem, and seriously a great punk/metal dive if ever there was one, and a friendly atmosphere to boot.

  3. @gurple They have the standard dive bar stuff with Redhook brews, the highlight being the Ballard IPA. Nothing too special, but the owner said they were hoping for some from Maritime and Hales.
