A contractor for the Seattle Department of Transportation continues to paint the approaches to the Ballard Bridge. Starting Tuesday, September 7th, the sidewalk on the west side of the bridge and the stairway at the north end of the bridge to the western sidewalk will be closed for up to three weeks, excluding weekends. The east side of the bridge is now open.
The contractor is painting the approaches this year and will paint the movable part of the bridge in 2011.
