‘Surviving the Streets’ clothing drive underway

The 2010-2011 winter is supposed to be snowy and cold, which may not be easy for Seattle’s homeless population. National Drycleaners (8757 Holman Rd NW) has teamed up with Real Change for the “Surviving the Streets” clothing and blanket drive to keep the homeless warm this winter. They are collecting new and lightly used coats, gloves, hats, backpacks, rain jackets, sleeping bags, and pairs of boots. You can also drop off soaps, deodorants and other hygiene items.

The collection bin is located at the Crown Hill business (8757 Holman Rd NW) and items can be dropped off during normal business hours: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-2pm. If you have items to donate but cannot make it to National Drycleaners, please call them at (206) 789-0584 to try to schedule a pick-up.
