Mudslides above Seaview Avenue

Magnolia isn’t the only neighborhood hit by mudslides. The bank above Seaview Avenue was also affected.

Al sent us this photo of a slide on Monday just above Seaview Ave along roughly the 6700 block. “There was a slide near the main BN rail tracks that pass between Shilshole and lower Sunset Hill,” he writes. “I don’t know if the home was affected but it sure lost some of it’s backyard down to the track area.”

This second picture is from Tuesday morning of a slide that happened around 8:30 Monday night, Al tells us. This one is further north, along the 7100 block of Seaview Ave NW. The photo is of Burlington Northern crews cleaning up.

Looks like the majority of the rain has passed. The weather forecast today is calling for showers with wind from 15 to 25 miles per hour by this afternoon.
