For the first time, the wallaroo joey at the Woodland Park Zoo has ventured outside of his mama’s pouch and it was caught on camera.

The joey, which was born in September, still spends most of its time inside the pouch, but If you’re patient, we’re told you might catch a glimpse. Zoo officials say the joey will come out during feedings in the mornings and around 3:30 or 3:45 p.m.
