Bastille (5307 Ballard Ave NW) has an incredible rooftop garden where greens, herbs and tomatoes are grown for the restaurant.

Colin McCrate of Seattle Urban Farm Company designed the garden and helps maintain it. Starting this Wednesday and every Wednesday through the end of September, McCrate will host tours of the gardens and talk edibles, seasonality and all things urban garden. The Rooftop Garden Tours begin at 5 p.m. and last about 45 minutes and concludes with a “seasonal rooftop inspired cocktail.” The cost is $10. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Bastille at 206-453-5014.
