Kick-off SeafoodFest with a BBQ benefit

Posted by Geeky Swedes on July 6th, 2011

With the Ballard SeafoodFest coming up this weekend, the festivities kick-off on Friday evening with a BBQ Benefit for the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial.

From 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Ave NW), enjoy live music by the Sourmash Stevedores, food from Somkin’ Petes BBQ and drinks from Maritime Pacific Brewery, Cloud Trading, Rogge and Caffe Appassionatto.

From the event write-up:

Support for this event means that you will be helping the families of fishermen lost at sea with grief counseling and college scholarships. In addition to family support the Memorial Fund helps with continued safety training for fishermen. 90% of the net proceeds go to benefit the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial and 10% go to benefit The Ballard Chamber of Commerce. Get SeafoodFest off to a big start and show your support for this great cause!

Tickets are $50 per person (available here) which includes all-you-can-eat BBQ and three drink tickets.
