Beavers lose first conference football match-up

The Inglemoor Vikings dominated the Ballard Beavers on Friday evening in the first conference football match-up of the season. IHS shut out Ballard in the first half by 21 points, but the Beavers gained some momentum with two touchdowns by Junior Dominic King in the third quarter.

Inglemoor matched the Beaver’s 14 points to win the game 35-14.

Along with King’s two touchdowns, he also had 107 all purpose yards. QB Junior Johnny Verduin went 21 for 33 for 127 yards, Senior Jesse Scott had six catches for 33 yards, Senior Blake Sechler had four catches for 33 yards and Junior Jordan McColloch had four catches for 23 yards.

Senior Blake Sechler had seven solo tackles, three assists, two tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery. Senior Jhamante Jefferson had four solo tackles and six assists. Junior Matt Deehring had four solo tackles three assists and an interception.

The Beavers take on the Woodinville Falcons this Thursday at 7 p.m. at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell. The entire football schedule can be found here (.pdf).
