Raise a glass to the Ballard Food Bank

Aster Coffee Lounge (5615 24th Ave NW) is more than just a cool hangout and a place to grab a latte – they also serve beer and wine.

Tonight, raise a glass of Sozo wine and help the Ballard Food Bank. Sozo wine, which we wrote about earlier this month, donates a portion of its proceeds to non-profits such as the Ballard Food Bank.

From 5 to 7 p.m., you can buy a flight of six wines or a glass of one wine for $12. Bottles ranging in price from $16 to $25 will be for sale.

“In addition the money that Sozo already automatically gives to the Food Bank with each purchase, Aster will be donating an additional $2 per bottle, tasting or glass purchase to the Food Bank during the event,” Beth Scribner, the owner of Aster tells us. “It’s a great opportunity to stock up on some fall wines for your cellar, or just enjoy a glass of wine with your neighbors while also helping raise money for the Food bank.”
