Today is the last day to register online for the 5th annual Seattle Turkey Trot – the Thanksgiving morning 5k here in Ballard.

The cost is $25 and all proceeds go to the Ballard Food Bank. The t-shirt registration deadline was last week, so shirt sizes are on a first come, first served basis, as long as supplies last. You can register at the event but you won’t be guaranteed a shirt.

The Seattle Turkey Trot is at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning at 32nd Ave NW and NW 85th St, near the Caffe Fiore. More information and registration is here.

More rain and at least moderate winds are likely Thanksgiving day. The rain doesn’t look as intense, though of course swollen rivers may be at a point where large additional rain isn’t necessary to create more flooding difficulty. Winds will be strongest north and west of Everett…though not as strong as tonight and early Tuesday.
