Developer looking for input on remodel

This is something we don’t see very often – a developer is holding two public meetings for input on the remodel and expansion of the Sunset Hill Green Grocer building (6401 32nd Ave NW.)

Bill Parks of the Sunset Hill Development LLC wants public input as his team puts together their package for the city.

The first meeting is next Wednesday, January 11th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sunset Hill Community Center (3003 NW 66th St) followed by the second meeting the following Wednesday – same time, same place.

From Bill Parks:

A variety of design directions are being considered including sustainable design features to achieve LEED or Living Building Challenge certification.

These options include additional height, various parking solutions and possibly joint use of the nearby City Light property.

This building and its site are an important part of the Sunset Hill neighborhood. We hope to find a solution that enhances the community and fulfills the needs of those involved in a sustainable and progressive manner.

The draft Early Design Guidance analysis required by the City of Seattle to define zoning and design constraints will be presented outlining potential directions.

Your input will be considered in the completion of the EDG package and will be part of a follow up meeting January 18.
