Light snow blankets Ballard

The snow started falling just after 6 this morning, and a light blanket of white quickly appeared. It’s been snowing off-and-on throughout the day, sticking and then melting again. Here are a couple traffic cameras:

Jim Guy with King5 says the snow is “spotty” and snow showers will hang around on and off throughout the day. “That’s kind of what we were expecting with this,” Guy says on King5 Weekend Morning News.

Snowflakes are in the forecast for the next few days. Guy says there will be increasing snow Monday afternoon and snow again on Tuesday. The snow transitions to rain on Wednesday when a warm front moves in.
