Cannon firing for Fort Lawton closing ceremony

After more than a century, Fort Lawton in Discovery Park will officially be closed this weekend.

During the ceremony on Saturday, the U.S. Army will be firing blanks from the cannons between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. There will also be a practice firing on Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
