In honor of Earth Day, Seattle Parks and Recreation is teaming up with the Carkeek Watershed Community Action Project, Seattle Public Utilities, and the Carkeek Park Advisory Council to host their 32nd annual Earth Day work party at Carkeek Park. The party is from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday , April 21.
Seattle Parks says the volunteer work will involve storm drain stenciling, a park cleanup, and community education in the park and surrounding watershed. For more information, and to register for the work party, call 206-684-0877.
