After years of waiting, the Crown Hill Park (9809 Holman Road NW) will finally be open to the public this Saturday, May 18. There will be an opening celebration on Saturday with refreshments, skating and more from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Seattle Parks and Recreation says Skate Like A Girl will offer a skate clinic and Small Faces Child Development Center will offer activities including a tricycle race.

The new park features a renovated ballfield, open lawn area, picnic area, gathering spaces, a skateboard mini-ramp, and artistic play features, says Parks.
