Get ready for a sugar shock, because today is the opening day for Top Pot Doughnuts in Ballard. Their newest location is on the corner of 14th Ave NW and NW Ballard Way, just down the street from Trader Joe’s.
The new location is open and airy, with tall counters lining the floor-to-ceiling windows. A booth lines part of the south wall, complete with large blackboards equipped with chalk for art, messages, etc. Owner Mark Klebeck is a Ballard resident, and told us back in April that the new store will have about 40 doughnut varieties and fresh coffee. In addition to plenty of doughnuts and coffee, this location will have ice cream. Top Pot just recently started offering Snoqualmie Ice Cream, and Ballard is lucky to be one of the few stores that has it (note: all stores will eventually stock it).
If you’re planning to get your fix early, you’re in luck: the store is opening at 6 a.m.
