After the long weekend, crews are back to work on updating the lights on the Ballard Bridge, meaning lane closures all week long and full bridge closures this weekend. The Seattle Department of Transportation says that today and tomorrow (Tuesday and Wednesday), the southbound, right lane and west sidewalk will be closed. They say at some point on Thursday and all day Friday, the crews will switch sides and close the northbound lane, but leave sidewalks open.
From 11 p.m. Saturday to Sunday at 7a.m., the bridge will be closed to all car traffic. One sidewalk will remain open, depending on which side of the bridge is having work done. Next week, expect the same closures as this week while crews continue their work.
