This Saturday, September 22, Heron Habitat Helpers are offering a free open house at  the Discovery Park Visitor Center from 3 to 4:30 p.m. “Learn more about the ‘Big Cranky’ – otherwise known as the Great Blue Heron through heron experts and artifacts on loan from the Burke Museum,” writes the event organizers. There will be arts and crafts, exhibits, and some “tasty treats.”
