Mayor McGinn wants to extend Ballard Community Center hours

Mayor Mike McGinn wants to add more hours to the Ballard Community Center, and is asking the community to contact Seattle City Council members to help make it happen.

From Mayor McGinn:

Recently I wrote with good news for the Ballard Community Center –  in my 2013-2014 Proposed Budget, I budgeted to add more open hours at Ballard. I proposed these new hours to offer youth in Ballard a safe place to be after school and late at night.

But these added hours are being targeted by the City Council for possible elimination. I need your help. Please take a moment to contact the City Council ask them to support added community center hours. Their contact information is below:

Budget Chair Tim Burgess: email tim.burgess@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8806.
Council President Sally Clark: email sally.clark@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8802.
Councilmember Sally Bagshaw: email sally.bagshaw@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8801.
Councilmember Richard Conlin: email richard.conlin@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8805.
Councilmember Jean Godden: email jean.godden@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8807.
Councilmember Bruce Harrell: email bruce.harrell@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8804.
Councilmember Nick Licata: email nick.licata@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8803.

Councilmember Tom Rasmussen: email tom.rasmussen@seattle.gov or call (206) 684-8808.

We need your voice to be part of this process to ensure the right outcome for Ballard. Thank you for being an involved and engaged member of our community.

Sincerely,

Mike McGinn
Mayor of Seattle
