Ballard Art Walk is tomorrow

It’s that time of the month again, when Ballard restaurants, bars and galleries open their doors to art lovers for the monthly Art Walk. The walk is tomorrow, Saturday Nov. 10 from 6 to 9 p.m.

One featured artist is Mari Ichimasu, who creates stop-motion animation titled “Kriomatsu Miso,” premiering at Annie’s Art and Frame at 2212 NW Market St. According to the Ballard Art Walk organizers, Ichimasu is a Tokyo-born artist living in Seattle.  From the organizers, “In the first stop animation in this series, Ichimasu draws from ‘very small ordinary scenes in daily life that are often taken for granted.'” Ichimasu creates all aspects of the animation, from the puppets to the painted backgrounds.
