Kirke Park awarded $16K for new trellis design

Friends of Kirke Park have received $16,000 from the city of Seattle to install a new trellis at the recently remodeled park.

The money was awarded to the park through the Neighborhood Matching Grant’s Small and Simple Projects Fund. The Friends of Kirke Park will use the money to complete the park’s “living room trellis,” which was designed in order to give the park a space for community gathering.

The Neighborhood Matching Fund awarded about $2 million to projects around the city. Click here for a list of other Small and Simple Project Fund award recipients.
