The Salmon Bay School just donated 1,378 pounds of food to the Ballard Food Bank. The school-wide food drive culminated last week, and was organized by the 5th graders in teacher Nicolette’s class. The class had been studying hunger, and the food drive was a service learning project inspired by the students’ studies.

To donate to the Ballard Food Bank, drop off food or hygiene products between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
