Ballard Bridge rehab narrows Shilshole Avenue NW

SDOT traffic advisory has reported that Shilshole Avenue NW will be temporarily narrowed underneath the Ballard Bridge. This will be a temporary measure that will be in effect from Monday February 4th as workers add concrete restrainers to the bridge to increase its seismic stability.

Shilshole Ave NW roadway will remain open in both directions. However, drivers should use caution due to the construction that is taking place.

Since the beginning of construction last summer Ballard Bridge seismic retrofit work has been done entirely from below the bridge. This work has allowed for no interruption to traffic lanes or sidewalks.
