Posted by Danielle Anthony-Goodwin on April 22nd, 2013

A volunteer clean up day is schedule for tomorrow at Golden Gardens (8498 Seaview Pl NW) from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The event has been organized to coincide with National Volunteer Week and will be hosted by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in partnership with volunteer organizers from Seattle Works and staff from Seattle Parks and Recreations.

Employees and other volunteers will assist in restoring Golden Gardens Park shoreline, dunes, and wetland area to keep the area beautiful for generations to come.

The Volunteer Day promotes and supports the employees of cruise lines that are based in the Seattle area. The clean up is part of the CLIA’s “Cruise Forward” initiative that aims to promote awareness about the economic benefits, community partnerships and environmental stewardship of cruising.
