Tool library to start in Ballard, organizers looking for volunteers

A group in Ballard is starting a tool library, and they’re asking the community for volunteer help. A tool library is a lending library for common tools, typically community-run. The group is meeting every other Saturday, and their next meeting is tomorrow, Saturday Sept. 21 at 11 a.m. in the Nyer Urness House Community Room.

Organizer Derek Bigelow says if people want to help but can’t volunteer, they’re hoping for tool suggestions to fill up their tool wish list. They’re also trying to raise money; to donate, click here. And, they’re looking for a space for the library. Any ideas for a location or any questions about the project can be directed at Bigelow at derekb@sustainableballard.org.
